According to Yonhap News,

South Gyeongsang(Gyeongnam) Province joins hands with Jeju and Daegu city.

Governors of Gyeongnam Province and Jeju agreed to cooperate by signing a contract on August 4.

According to the contract, Jeju will support Gyeongnam to promote its Tripitaka Koreana Festival which will be held from September 23 to November 6.

In exchange, Gyeongnam will help promote Jeju to be selected as the world's 7 Wonders of Nature.

Gyeongnam Province also signed a contract with Daegu city for the sucessful hosting of Tripitaka Koreana Festival and World Championships Daegu 2011.

The two governors promised to cooperate in various areas such as promoting international events and supporting volunteer works.
