Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI) will hold an international forum next week under the theme of "Success Cases and Future Strategy for Sustainable Development" at KAL hotel in Jeju.

The forum will draw about 100 people including members of the ICLEI and representatives of companies and organizations. They will discuss how to promote sustainable development based on green growth and secure sustainable potentials through the roadmap on green economy and green growth and will present Korea's sustainable development and policy.

After the discussion, participants will visit Sunrise Peak, registered as one of the world natural heritages, and Jeju Smart Grid Industrial Complex.

The Germany-headquartered ICLEI is engaged in various activities including addressing regional environmental issues with 1,104 members from 68 countries, serving as an advisory panel for the UN and taking action to respond to global warming in partnership with global environmental organizations.
