According to Yonhap News,
President of Jeju Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Chairman of Hainan Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade on enhancing cooperation in economy and trade.
Both sides agreed to join efforts in exchanging information on a regular basis, co-organizing seminars and forums on corporate investment and dispatching trade delegations.
President of JCCI said, "The MOU is designed to mark the 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and China. The agreement will play a substantial role in expanding trade and investment between both countries."
Chairman of the committee also said, "The MOU will enable companies from both countries to work together to expand trade and investment and develop their tourism industry."
China Council for the Promotion of International Trade is founded in 1952
to promote overseas trade, attract investment, and strengthen mutual ties in
economy and trade with foreign institutions including Korea Chamber of Commerce
and Industry.
