According to Yonhap News,

Jeju Tourism Organization (JTO) is participating in JATA World Tour EXPO 2012, held in Japan's Big Sight exhibition hall, from last Thursday to today, an an attempt to keep track of Japan's current tourism trend and promote its tourist products.

JTO especially focuses on promoting Jeju's healing and therapy-related tourist products that utilize Jeju's World Natural Heritage sites to Japanese women.

The number of Japanese tourists to Jeju has declined due to last year's devastating earthquake that hit Japan and the sour relationship between Korea and Japan, sparked by the territory dispute over Dokdo Island.

"We aggressively engage in marketing with the newly-coined slogan of "Healing Spot, Jeju" to revitalize our tourism industry," said an official of JTO.

About 260 institutions and companies from 145 countries operated 860 booths during the expo.
