(JEJU=NEWSIS) Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced July 23 that it will carry out activities to encourage Jeju companies to establish joint ventures with foreign-invested companies.

The province will invite Chinese potential investors in September to a familiarization tour to introduce the investment environment of Jeju and give them a tour of the regional companies.

The province will work with the Offices of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) in China to find 10 potential companies and invite them to attract capital (export cooperation).

It will also hold investor relations events to potential companies in the western regions of China to build a network to attract investment.

The province will participate in the Foreign Investment Week (Oct.19~23), hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy and organized by KOTRA, and install an investment PR booth for the potential investors.
