We are pleased to officially announce that we are inviting the occupants of Standard Factory Building 1 and 2 in Masan Free Trade Zone.

□ Overview of Standard Factory Building 1 and 2

ㅇ Location: 177(Building1) and 193(Building 2), Jayoomuyeok-gil 3, Masanhoiwon-gu, Changwon-si, Korea
ㅇ Leasable Area: about 28,379㎡
   - Standard Factory building 1: 15,779㎡
   - Standard Factory building 2 : 12,600㎡
ㅇ Authorized Administrator: Minister of Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (Administrator of Masan Free Trade Zone)

□ Scale and Leasing Fee

※ Lease Area: Private Area(about 82% of leased area) + Public Area
※ The above leasing fee will apply until Jul 31 2017 according to the notice (No 2015-459) of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy dated Aug 13 2015. The leasing fee which will apply from Aug 1 2017 will be notified separately.
※ If necessary, companies may be eligible to lease a unit in a third factory building.

□ Eligible Occupants

Export companies with over $1,000 of export amount per unit area(㎡) or foreign investment companies with $500,000 of foreign investment in accordance with Article 10 of the “Act on Designation and Management of Free Trade Zones” and Article 7 of the enforcement ordinance of the said act.

* Exporting Companies: The export of small-sized companies shall exceed the 30% (mid-sized companies: 40%, large companies: 50%)
** Foreign Investment Companies: Companies that satisfy the criteria of foreign investment according to the Clause 2 of the Article 2 of “The Enforcement Ordinance of Foreign investment Promotion Act“
※ Companies have the reasons for disqualification set forth in the Article 12 of “the Act on Designation and Management of Free Trade Zones” shall not granted the occupancy permit.
※ Annual export volume per unit area is calculated by dividing average export amount for the last two years with total factory area (excluding outsourced areas)

□ Businesses subject to restriction

ㅇ Agro-products manufacturing businesses etc, prescribed in the Article 10 of “the Guidelines on the Management of Free Trade Zones“.
ㅇ Businesses that may generate pollution(e.g. noise, vibration, toxic gases, waste water, waste, etc.)

□ Criteria of Merits

ㅇ Companies that export more than $2,500 per unit area(㎡) on an annual basis.
ㅇ Foreign companies that meet the following requirements:

Foreign investment companies that invest more than $5mil or Foreign investment companies that invest more than $1mil and foreign investment exceeds $1,000 per unit area(㎡) or export more than 30%* of total sales.
* The export shall exceed the 30% of total sales over the last 2 years on an average basis.

ㅇ Business that involves technology on a presidential decree (approved by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance) as the business that corresponds to the new growth engine industries that are essential in acceleration of nation’s industrial structure and reinforcement of international competitiveness in accordance with Article 121 Clause 1 Section 1 of 『Tax Reduction and Exemption Control Act』.
