Reasons for Proposal

Under the current Act, when an industrial waste discharger intends to entrust waste treatment to someone, he/she shall verify whether the entrusted person has the capability to treat wastes, but it is pointed out that credibility is low because the industrial waste discharger has no choice but to accept the entrusted person’s own documents.
Therefore, by requiring waste trusted persons to obtain documents to verify their waste treatment capability as prescribed by Ordinance of the Ministry of Environment and provide them to industrial waste dischargers, the amendment aims to increase the credibility of the waste treatment capability of entrusted persons (Article 17).

Major Provisions

Require waste entrusted persons to obtain documents to verify their waste treatment capability and provide them to industrial waste dischargers (Article 17 (1) 3)
