KOTRA opened an online marketing platform, K-Studio

Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) opened an online marketing platform, K-Studio, in its head office lobby on Nov 13. The studio will take the role of supporter, helping digital trade and online marketing for small businesses in Korea.

Live-streaming e-commerce featuring social media influencers, online trade fair, investment pitch event to attract VCs and foreign companies, PR materials and marketing video production particularly using augmented or virtual reality technologies and various forms of promotional activities take place at the studio.

In celebration of the commencement of the service, a live commerce targeting US Amazon consumers aired on Nov 13 with a couple of world’s famous beauty influencers, Edward Avila and Hyerim, a Korean singer and former member of South Korean female band, Wonder Girls. They introduced and got their fans to purchase 24 Korean beauty-cosmetic products they’ve endorsed, engaging on social media with US followers.

There have been a workshop, ‘ROK-Japan Smart City Solution Partnering Webinar’, sharing information on the latest market trends and technologies with representatives of 30 Japanese groups including NEC and NTT. Five Korean companies developing technologies applicable to smart city solutions gave a presentation to pitch their ideas to investors.

KOTRA has already opened the same marketing studio one after another in major cities like Gwangju (KDJ Convention Center, Nov 16) and Busan (BEXCO, Nov 18).

President and CEO of the agency said “By making the most efficient use of the digital trade platform in the world after the coronavirus, KOTRA will keep working on helping businesses in Korea lead the paradigm shift in global marketing.”
