Jeju is leading the way in preparing for the era of climate change by actively promoting carbon-neutral policies. With the highest adoption rate of electric vehicles domestically and the nation's only public-led offshore wind power projects, as well as the highest proportion of renewable energy generation nationwide, Jeju is fostering the new energy industries. Jeju boasts the most advantageous environment for the growth of private space industries due to its minimal airspace restrictions and proximity to the equator. Additionally, efforts are underway to establish research and institutional frameworks for the commercialization of the first tourism-oriented Urban Air Mobility (UAM) model in the country.
