Busan will present promotional materials for touring Busan and souvenirs at Gimhae International Airport and Busan Port International Passenger Terminal starting from 11 a.m. on April 29th, the first day of Japan’s Golden Week.

Foreign tourists will be greeted by Busan city, Korea Tourism Corporation, Busan Tourism Association, Shinsegye Department Store, Hyundai Department Store, Paradise Mall, the Westin Chosun Busan, Tiffany 21 Busan, and Aquarium.

Two guides, who will be dressed in hanbok, traditional Korean dress, to promote the beauty of Korea, will be at Gimhae International Airport and Busan Port International Passenger Terminal each and convey warm hospitality to tourists.

This welcoming event will be continued throughout May.

The Busan Station Plaza in Dong-gu, Busan and Choryang Chinatown will serve as venues for the eighth Chinatown Special Zone Festival (April 29th to May 1st) consisting of Korean and Chinese traditional culture festival, a singing contest, and exhibitions.

The Busan Special Campaign, organized by Busan city and the Korea Tourism Corporation, will be held in Kyushu and Osaka, Japan to encourage Japanese people to travel Busan around the Golden Week.

Busan said “the event will serve as an opportunity to lure Japanese tourists, whose number has reduced in the wake of the devastating earthquake, and to encourage Chinese people, who shun travelling Japan, to come to Busan and recommend others the city as a good tourist attraction. We are committed to attracting far more than 2 million foreign tourists.”
