Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone(BJFEZ) Authority aims to attract a branch school of UCLA in Myungji District .

The BJFEZ Authority said that Ha Myeng-keun, commissioner of the authority, will visit UCLA this month to talk about building a branch school of UCLA in the BJFEZ.

UCLA is a prestigious university in the US, ranking within the top 20.

The Authority is also trying to relocate German FAU Busan Campus which opened in Busan Techno-Park early this year to Myunji District.

An official from the Authority said that the commissioner will discuss concrete measures during the visit. If the decision is made to build a school, it will help revitalize the development of Myungji district.
