According to Yonhap News,

Busan City recorded a trade surplus in June, a turnaround from the five consecutive month deficit from January to May this year.

Busan and Gyeongnam Customs said that exports and imports in Busan stood at USD 1.313 billion and USD 1.254 billion in June, respectively, resulting in a trade surplus of USD 59 million.

Last month's exports in Busan increased 19% from the same period of last year. Imports also rose 16% year-on-year.

It is the first time that Busan posted a trade surplus this year.

Exports of automobiles, auto parts and machinery increased by 66%, 51.2% and 33.2%, respectively, year-on-year. Trade surplus is also attributable to a decline of imports.
