Buasn City said on Feb. 7 that it will intensively cultivate 11 exhibitions, selected as promising ones, to develop the city into the global MICE, which stands for meetings, incentives, conferencing and exhibitions, industrial city.

Busan selected 11 exhibitions, which will be subject to its supports, to cultivate the MICE industry, emerged as the new growth engine and regional strategic industry.

The exhibitions selected through public contest include Busan Business Start-up EXPO, Art Show, Busan International EXPO for Franchise Start-up, Busan International Food EXPO, Cafe and Bakery Show, Tea EXPO and Busan International Industrial Exhibition for Wielding and Cutting Machine.

New exhibitions, including the 2012 Super Star Sports Show designed based on the Baseball Athletic Tourism Show that won the grand prize in MICE public contest, Camping and Bike Show, Busan Gift Show and Asia Refinery and Petrochemical Technology Conference, are also included in the selection.

Busan will support domestic and overseas promotion and marketing expenses and invite foreign buyers for the exhibitions.
