According to Yonhap News,

Bexco has won the membership of the AIPC, an international association of convention and exhibition centers.

Bexco received recommendations from the existing AIPC members and was authorized to be a member of AIPC with unanimous approvals of the AIPC evaluation group.

To be eligible for membership, an exhibition center has to undergo the evaluation on the facility size, its operation performance and the experience of organizing international events.

Behind Bexco's winning the membership lies its contribution to making Busan the fourth favorable place in Asia for organizing international conferences and its experiences to successfully complete major international events, such as APEC summit, High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness and ITS World Transportation Olympics.

Thanks to the contribution, Busan was exempted from the evaluation required to be eligible for the membership.

Bexco, which opened in 2001, has played a great role in enhancing Busan's profile and emerged as a global convention center organizing about 800 international conferences. It holds an average of 70 international events annually.

"The AIPC membership will help us establish international networks with other members," said an employee of Bexco.
