Busan will visit Chengdu, Sichuan, China to organize a tourism seminar from April 8 to 12, in collaboration with Korea Tourism Corporation (KTC) and Tourism Promotion Organization for Asia Pacific Cities.

The seminar is designed to promote the tour city of Busan to Chinese travel agencies and reporters.

The Busan Tour Promotion Team consists of members from Busan Tour Planning Team, KTC, Southeast Asia Cooperation Group, hotels, casinos and department stores.

The promotion team will hold tourism and business seminars and visit China's TV home shopping broadcasting companies.

The tourism seminar will draw 70 people from China's travel agencies, Chinese media and Busan tourism sector.

During the seminar, participants will watch a video showing Busan's beautiful tourism attractions. And then the team will explain Busan's large-scale events including the World Fireworks Festival and have a Q&A session.

It also plans to visit TV home shopping broadcasting companies in Sichuan to promote Busan's products. Representative of both sides will discuss the operation of chartered flights between Busan and Chengdu during the business seminar.

"Our visit to China will be a good opportunity to promote Busan to Chinese people and to know Chinese people's favorable tour locations and trends, which will be a big help in developing efficient promotion methods and tour products," said a Busan City official.
