According to Yonhap News,
Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member countries will visit Busan to learn Korea's advanced e-learning system.
Twenty two educational administrators and professors from seven countries including Peru, Russia, Vietnam and Indonesia will participate in the e-learning program to be conducted at Pusan National University's e-learning center.
The e-learning program is designed to narrow the gap between member countries in terms of knowledge and information and facilitate the development of the next-generation human resources.
As part of the Post APEC project authorized in the working-group meeting in 2005, the e-learning program has been conducted since 2006.
The program focuses on providing customized education to meet the needs of individual countries. This year's program, in particular, will offer an opportunity to share current educational environments of APEC member countries and to establish a network to exchange exemplary cases.
Participants can also learn the up-to-date e-learning techniques and cases utilizing tablet PCs.
