According to Yonhap News,

President of Pusan National University (PNU) Kim Gi-seop and Director of Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) Jeong Yeon-ho inked an agreement to cooperate each other to cultivate human resources and develop advanced technology in the atomic sector.

Both sides will work together to raise people's awareness of nuclear power, cultivate professionals, enhance the safety of nuclear reactors and utilize radiation and research reactors.

In addition, they plan to operate joint academic and research program and share each other's intellectual property and academic and technological information.

They especially focus on supporting the KAERI to build a new research reactor in Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan.
