According to Yonhap News,

Korea-China Biz Plaza, the largest Korea-China trade seminar, is scheduled to be held in Busan to mark the 20th anniversary of Korea forging diplomatic ties with China.

The event, co-hosted by Busan City and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, will bring together 10 buyers from 15 regions in China and 380 domestic small-and-medium enterprises (SMEs) from the necessities, home appliance, electricity, electronics, machinery, shipbuilding and plant sector.

"We decided to organize the trade seminar to give an opportunity for domestic SMEs to meet with buyers from China's major cities in commemoration of the 20 year-diplomatic ties between Korea and China. The event will facilitate domestic SMEs' entry into the Chinese market, emerging as Korea's largest trade partner and market," said Cha Jae-ju, Director of Busan Economy Promotion Institute.

The event begins tomorrow with a congratulatory message, to be delivered by Busan Mayor Heo Nam-sik, and later one-to-one consulting services will be arranged for buyers and domestic SMEs.

In addition, four Chinese lecturers will offer tips for domestic SMEs on how to advance into the Chinese market in a strategic manner by explaining China's investment environment.

"The buyer to participate in the seminar are eagerly eyeing the Korean market for investment and showing strong interests in Korean products. Even amid the sluggish global trade, I hope the event will serve as a valuable opportunity for companies of both countries to cooperate and grow together," said Director Cha.
