Im Gi-taek, President of the Busan Port Authority (BPA), signed a cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) last Thursday with Tan ChongMeng, the Chairman of the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) in a bid to enhance the competitiveness of the Busan Port.

The BPA's cooperation with the PSA in charge of the Port of Singapore, the world's largest transshipment port that ranks second in container traffic and other major ports will be a good opportunity for the world's top 5 container port Busan Port to learn how advanced ports are operated.

The PSA is responsible for managing 29 ports in 17 countries and has operated Pusan Newport International Terminal since 2009.
