According to Yonhap News,

Busan-based shipbuilding equipment manufacturers and suppliers held a joint marketing ceremony with Busan Division of Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (KICC), an academic-industrial cooperative group of Dong-Eui University and the Busan Shipbuilding Equipment Industry Association to accelerate their entry into Australia's plant market.

Almost 80 percent of the global offshore plant orders are won by domestic major shipyards, but most of the domestic equipment manufacturers and suppliers are denied their access to the global market due to the lack of experience.

The joint marketing project is designed to give the manufacturers and suppliers an access to Australia's onshore and offshore plant maintenance market with the help of professionals.

KICC expects that after developing experience in the Australian market, the domestic companies would expand their presence in other markets as well.

"Our marketing supports will enable domestic shipbuilding equipment companies struggled with accessing the Australian market to make inroads into the market, which is expected to not only increase the awareness of Korean plant equipment companies all around the world but facilitate the relevant sector," said Park Dong-cheol, Chief of Busan Division of KICC.
