According to Yonhap News,
The Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs gave the green light to the Busan City-led Ubiquitous Urban Planning, according to Busan last Wednesday.
This makes Busan City the first metropolitan city in Korea to set up the ubiquitous urban planning. Under the vision of "Dynamic, Smart City Busan with Creative Communication," the city will create an intelligent urban space by integrating information & communication technology (ICT) into four sectors including economy, daily life, culture and environment, which will result in enhancing convenience of Busan citizens.
A legislation titled "Establishment of Ubiquitous City," in particular, grabs much attention in that it designates 31 U-services and three strategic spaces and integrates ICT into the urban planning.
