The Korean city of Busan and Japanese cities of Shimonoseki and Kitakyushu will conduct cross-promotion activities to draw tourists.
The Busan Metropolitan City Government and the Busan Tourism Association (BTA) will visit Fukuoka, Kagoshima, and Kumamoto on March 23 and 24 to promote tourism. During the same period, Japanese officials from Shimonoseki and Kitakyushu cities will also promote tourism in Busan.
Busan’s promotional activities in Kyushu, Japan are part of Asian Gateway, the collaborative tourism project between Busan and Fukuoka. Busan city officials will promote and sell tourism-related products in Kagoshima and Kumamoto, and they will discuss the development of Busan tourism-related products with Japanese travel agencies.
Officials from Shimonoseki and Kitakyushu will set up a booth at Busan Station to promote their tourist attractions, such as Karato sushi and the Moji Port.
