Senshukai, a Japanese telemarketing and mail-order company, will establish a logistics center in an industrial logistics complex near the Busan New Port.

According to the Busan Port Authority (BPA) and the Busan Main Customs, the domestic logistics company G.I.G has attracted Senshukai’s logistics center in Busan through its recently-established partnership with the large Japanese logistics company Nippon Express.

Senshukai has so far managed its products manufactured in Thailand, Vietnam, and China through its six logistics centers in Southeast Asia. If Senshukai utilizes the Busan New Port, however, it will be able to cut down distribution costs by 12-13 percent and decrease the time required to transport products from 3-24 days to 1-2 days. With this in mind, Senshukai made a decision to integrate and move its logistics centers to Busan.

BPA expects that the establishment of Senshukai’s logistics center in Busan will increase trade volume by KRW 500 billion annually, create local economic inducement effects worth KRW 14.8 billion, and generate 300 jobs.
