With the Korea Institute of Footwear & Leather Technology (KIFLT), the Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA) will conduct a project to support the development of high value-added footwear to strengthen footwear brands in the Busan area.
The project, which will receive KRW 500 million, aims to help footwear manufacturers optimize production facilities and support small- and medium-sized companies (SMEs) with little R&D capability as they manufacture high value-added footwear by standardizing product design development, production process, and marketing.
“Participating companies are expected to reduce footwear development time through technology standardization,” said an SMBA official.
