According to Busan and the Busan Tourism Organization (BTO) today, 2,500 employees of Wang Steak Group, the largest restaurant chain in Taiwan, visited Busan last April, following Herbalife’s a large-scale business event with 12,000 employees in Busan early this year.

In the first half of this year, Busan saw three incentive travels with 17,500 visitors compared last year’s 2 travels with 880 tourists. The incentive travel industry in Busan is growing, which has been showing a relatively weak growth compared to other MICE industries.

The forecast for next year is even brighter. About 25,000 incentive tourists from Amway China plans to visit Busan next year.

The Busan Tourism Organization also succeeded in attracting the 2014 Asia Convention of Kyani, a U.S.-based global food company. Kayani selected Busan as a destination for a strategic meeting and tourism with 4,000 employees.

General Manager of Kyani Korea Richard Park noted that Kyani, a multinational company which has 50 offices around the world, will help Busan to become a logistics hub in Southeast Asia.

Herbalife, plans to hold a meeting in Busan with its 20,000 outstanding employees next year. Kyani is also reviewing holding a general assembly with 12,000 employees in Busan in 2015.

The BTO noted that Busan, BTO and Busan Exhibition and Convention Center are seeing the results of their cooperation for promotional activities.
