ENTECH 2013 Concluded in Great Success
Busan City and the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) announced last week that the event drew 342 business consultations with foreign buyers which amounted to USD 620 million.
Out of 342, 38 consultations are near to completion, expecting to see export contracts of USD 120 million.
Compared to last year’s event, number of consultations and reached contract and consultation amount increased by 40 percent, 10 percent and 20 percent respectively.
Daehan ENG from Busan signed a memorandum of understanding of USD 500,000 for water and sewage treatment projects with the vice governor of Issyk Kul Province of Kyrgyzstan.
Dowon Apex also held business consultations with foreign buyers for water treatment and incineration facilities.
Pusan Cast Iron Co., Ltd is also promoting a contract with Thailand’s Technical Product for wind power plant parts, and M3 also decided to sign a USD 12 million-dollar contract with FINE Med from Thailand.
Kim Byung-gon, head of the Environment & Green Zone Bureau of Busan City, noted that the city focused on building a next-generation engine for growth of environment and energy industries in Korea, adding that the event will expand its boundaries to wind power, waste treatment and water industry next year.
