The Busan International Footwear, Textile & Fashion Show 2013 will open next week.

Total 278 companies with 656 booths from seven countries are expected to participate in the show, which will be held in Busan next week.

The show is hosted by Busan City and sponsored by the Busan Exhibition & Convention Center, Busan Economic Promotion Agency, Footwear Industrial Promotion Center, Busan Federation of Textile & Fashion Industry, BITA and the Busan Fashion Textile Industry Cooperatives.

Representative Korean textile companies will also participate in the show to exhibit their new products and technology.

The show aims to become a consumer-friendly fashion show, by exposing products to citizens and maximizing promotional effect.

The event also successfully attracted the Fukuoka Asia Collection to be a part of Pret-a-porter collection, which is expected to draw a large number of audiences.

Exhibition of industrial textiles, which was introduced last year, will also be held this year with about 190 booths, leading to a higher participation from companies.

The show also features various sideline events, including a job fair with 10 small- and medium-sized companies, a brand experience market, a skills competition and seminars.

A Busan official asked not only businessmen but also citizens’ support and cooperation for the show where visitors can meet new products and world-class technology in the footwear and textile industries.
