The Busan Foundation for International Activities (BFIA) announced that it will send a group of representatives consisting of 20 students to Beijing, China this week to strengthen relationship with Beijing and develop global perspective of Busan youths.

The group will hold exchange activities with youths from Beijing, for the first time since signing of friendship city agreement between Busan and Beijin last August.

The representatives will visit companies, schools and cultural heritages to experience the Chinese culture.

Busan selected 20 students through screenings and interviews from middle school and high school students.

A BFIA official noted that the group will play the role of a diplomat for Korea and Busan, and help to enhance understanding of culture and reinforce the relationship between the two cities. He added that the representatives will also facilitate private exchanges between Busan and Beijing.
