(BUSAN = Yonhap News) The city of Busan announced today that it will invite 14 medical tourism officials of Russia’s Maritime Province and carry out “medical tourism familiarization tour” between March 16 and March 20.

The visiting officials are doctors, employees of broadcasting companies and other officials related to the medical tourism industry.

The familiarization tour is hosted by the city of Busan and organized by Dong-A University Hospital and CMS Korea.

During the tour, the delegates will visit Dong-A University Hospital and observe medical surgeries to have a close look at advanced medical technologies such as the robotic surgery and coronary arteriography.

The group is also scheduled to visit the orthopaedic institute Kang-Dong Hospital to interact and share information with the hospital’s medical team, and take a look around at Seomyeon Medical Street and Centum Medical Street.

The delegation will be accompanied by reporters of Russian TV Channel 8, which will present a special programme to introduce and promote Busan’s medical tourism industry to about 7 billion viewers in the Far East region of Russia.
