(BUSAN=Yonhap News) Busan International Food Expo will be held at BEXCO, Busan from June 18 to 20, to give overseas business opportunities to domestic food industries.

350 corporations and organizations in the food industry will set up 700 booths to showcase all types of food and beverages, within the theme of food, coffee, beverage, packed meals and food packaging. 300 overseas buyers from 10 countries will also participate in the event.

Together with the expo, ‘2014 Busan Summer Café Show’ will also be held to showcase new types of café food and beverages, along with offering business consultations. As part of the show, Coffee A ssociation of Korea will host a playoff to determine the participants for 2015 World Barista Championship (WBC).

Several side events such as coffee & roasting class and wine competition will also be held.

200 corporations from 10 countries around the world, including China, Japan, Russia, Iran, Australia and Vietnam will participate in the event to discuss export opportunities and seek exchanges with Korean food companies.
