According to Yonhap News,

(BUSAN=Yonhap News) The City of Busan announced on September 14 to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the laser processing technology support center that will enhance the machinery industry in Busan and Southeast area on September 23 at the research and development zone of the Mieum Industrial Complex.

The total investment for the establishment of the center is KRW 33.274 billion including KRW 23.44 billion of government expense, KRW 9.074 billion of municipal expense and KRW 760 million of private investment.

The center will be completed in June, 2015.

"Busan, which focuses on industries including machinery, automobile and ships, is the largest market to commercialize the laser processing technology. Therefore, the laser processing technology support center will not only enhance the competitiveness of the industries but also contribute to the advancement of the industrial structure by achieving high value-added,“ said a Busan official.
