(BUSAN=NEWSIS) Busan City ranked first for the anti-corruption policy assessment in 2014, which was conducted to 254 public organizations in Korea by the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission (ACRC).
Busan announced February 5 that it is the only city to have received an “excellent” grade for three consecutive years.
The anti-corruption policy assessment measures the level of an organization’s autonomous efforts to enhance its integrity and transparency. The ACRC and outside experts evaluate the anti-corruption policies of organizations through performance data, surveys and statistics.
Busan has been striving to settle a clean and transparent culture under the catchphrase, “realizing a clean and transparent city with the trust from people.”
“We have shown that we are a city of transparency and integrity through the anti-corruption policy assessment. We will strengthen communication with the people for establishing transparent policies,” said a Busan official.
