(BUSAN=Yonhap News)Busan City signed a business agreement with Japan’s Sega Sammy Holdings on March 9 to build a MICE complex facility called, Centum One in Haeundae-gu.

The agreement includes Sega Sammy Holdings to strive to complete the construction of Centum One and contribute to creating jobs in the region by hiring as many workers as possible.

Sega Sammy Holdings will also proactively promote academic and industrial cooperation to develop workforce in the sectors related to conventions and tourism.

KRW 468.5 billion will be invested in Centum One to build a 33-story building (143,000 ㎡) with seven underground floors.

The complex facility includes not only convention facilities but also a hotel that has 650 rooms.

Sega Sammy Holdings plans to begin the construction of the MICE complex facility in the coming September and complete it by May, 2018.

Busan City expects the agreement will help the city to designate the Centum City into an international convention complex zone.
