(BUSAN=NEWSIS) Busan City announced May 11 that it will sign a memorandum of understanding with the Pierre Vacances Center Parcs Group on May 12 to build a resort in the East Busan Tourism Complex.
Busan City Mayor Seo Byung-soo, President Gérard Brémond of the Pierre Vacances Center Parcs Group and CEO Kwak Dongwon of the Busan Metropolitan Corporation will attend the signing ceremony.
The Pierre Vacances Center Parcs Group, the largest resort construction and operation company in Europe, has more than 300 resorts in Europe and recorded EUR 1.415 billion of sales in 2013.
The Pierre Vacances Center Parcs Group will establish a resort in the East Busan Tourism Complex on 360,000 ㎡ of land. It plans to build an eco-friendly resort by preserving the surrounding natural environment through the use of natural energy. The resort will include 800 villas, a recreation center and tropical water park.
The Pierre Vacances Center Parcs Group will cooperate with local companies to build the resort. Therefore, the resort will contribute to the regional economy by creating new jobs.
