(BUSAN=Yonhap News) Twenty fisheries industry officials from five Southeast Asian countries including Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Bangladesh and Myanmar will visit Busan City on October 26 to learn the city’s development experience in the fisheries industry.
The group will stay until November 12 to participate in a training program co-organized by the city and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
Busan and KOICA have been conducting the training program since 2013 at the request of the emerging countries.
To date, a total of 65 public officials from emerging countries have participated in the program.
The group will have the opportunity to learn about the fisheries industry of Busan and its development experiences. They will also visit the Busan International Seafood & Fisheries EXPO 2015 and the one-stop marine product export complex.
