Busan City & China’s CAITEC Sign Business Agreement for CKA

(BUSAN=Yonhap News) Busan City and the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation (CAITEC) of the Ministry of Commerce signed a business agreement for the pilot project of the China and Korea Commerce Credit Authentication Platform (CKA) on December 21 in Guangzhou, China.

The CKA project is to protect the intellectual property rights of the companies and products of Korea and China and the rights of the consumers as the bilateral trade will increase rapidly due to the effectuation of the Korea-China Free Trade Agreement.

Busan City will first promote the intangible sectors including the medical tourism to facilitate the inbound tourism and then expand to the tangible sectors, such as companies and products.

Also, the Busan Tourism Organization and Guangzhou Association of Travel Agencies (GATA) will sign a memorandum of understanding for business cooperation to sell medical tourism and tourism-related products of Busan City at the 1,700 GATA member travel agencies.
