BUSAN < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

(BUSAN=Yonhap News) Descente, a sportswear company based in Japan, will sign a business agreement with Busan City on April 11 to build its global research and development (R&D) center (17,024㎡) at the Myeongji International New City in Busan.

The R&D center will comprise a footwear research center and testbed for design and quality performance.

Descente plans to complete the construction of the center by 2018.

Descente decided to build an R&D center in Busan as the city is home to many shoes manufacturers and footwear-related institutions including the Korea Institute of Footwear & Leather Technology and Footwear Industrial Promotion Center.
