(BUSAN=Yonhap News) Busan's exhibition and convention center BEXCO announced that it has held 557 MICE (Meeting, Incentives, Conference, Exhibition) events in the first half of this year, backed by its active marketing campaign.
According to the center, 46 more events took place compared to 511 of the same period of last year, setting new record for number of events held in the first half.
By types, 44 exhibitions, 434 conferences and 79 events were hosted.
Thanks to its strategy to differentiate itself and strengthen fundamental capability, the convention center has achieved improvement both in quality and quantity, according to BEXCO.
During the first half, it held a number of international exhibitions including the Drone Show Korea, the Busan International Boat Show, and the Busan International MOTOR SHOW. The center was also a venue for international conferences including the World Fisheries Congress and IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference.
