(BUSAN=NEWSIS) The Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority actively engaged in foreign investment promotion activities at the Cityscape Dubai 2016, a real estate exhibition, held in Dubai for three days from September 6.
The authority set up an exhibition booth to promote the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone (BJFEZ) development project in cooperation with other organizations including the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy as well as KOTRA, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency.
Staffs at the authority paid a visit to DP World, a state terminal operator of the United Arab Emirates doing business in the BJFEZ, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and increase investment.
They also visited the Dubai Airport Free Zone, a free economic zone established by the Dubai government in 1996 to attract foreign investment, and met with their counterparts to share their views and seek possible cooperation.
The economic zone in Dubai has around 1,600 global firms as its tenants including 14 Korean companies.
The Cityscape is an annual real estate exhibition held in nine cities including Korea, Kuwait, Brazil and Egypt. Among nine venues, Dubai attracts the most number of visitors of more than 30,000 a year.
