(BUSAN=Yonhap News) The Nice Korea started construction to expand its logistics center at the Ungdong Hinterland Complex in the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone (BJFEZ) on Sep 22, 2016.
The Nice Korea is a branch of Japan-based global lumber manufacturer Suteki Nice Group.
Suteki Nice Group was founded in 1950 and currently operates overseas branches and offices in seven countries. Its main businesses are production of construction materials and house construction.
The Nice Korea established a logistics center on the land of around 33,000 square meters at the BJFEZ by investing USD 13 million last year.
The company processes raw lumber imported from foreign countries to building materials for house construction and sell them in the domestic and international markets.
With additional investment of USD 10 million pledged this time, the company plans to establish a global logistics hub.
Completion of the construction work is scheduled in the first half of next year.
