(BUSAN=Yonhap News) The 10th Annual Korea Ship Finance Forum will be held at the Paradise Hotel in Busan on November 2, 2016. Global issues in ship finance and prospect of marine transportation will be discussed in the event.

The forum, jointly hosted by the Export-Import Bank of Korea, Korea Development Bank, the Korea Trade Insurance Corporation, the Korea Trade and Marine Money, will attract 200 participants including representatives from shipping companies and shipbuilders as well as shipping finance experts.

Following opening remarks delivered by Marine Money Asia Headquarters Head Kevin Oates, Park Ho-Chul, head of foreign investment cooperation division of the Busan Port Authority, will present on the current status and development strategy of The Port of Busan.

Park Jong-hoon, Chief Economist of Standard Chartered, will speak on the economic outlook of Korea and Northeast Asia and its implication on the shipping and shipbuilding industry.

Presentations and discussions on marine finance as well as mutual cooperation between the shipping and shipbuilding industry will take place during the afternoon session of the event.

Busan city expects the forum will be a good opportunity to promote Busan as a hub of ship finance.
