(BUSAN=Yonhap News) An economic delegation from the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited Mexico and Cuba, and signed business agreements with local economic organizations.
The delegation, comprised of businessmen from the Busan area, announced Feb. 6, that it visited the Cuba Chamber of Commerce on Jan. 3, and signed business contracts, including agreements on dispatching trade delegations.
Visiting the Special Economic Zone of Mariel, a comprehensive industrial complex in Cuba based on manufacturing, biological, pharmaceutical, and logistics industries, the delegation tried to find a way toward cooperation.
Earlier, on Jan. 31, the delegation had also signed business deals with ProMexico, Mexico's largest trade organization, as well as with the Mexican business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology (COMCE).
ProMexico is a government agency that supports the export of Mexican goods, and facilitate foreign investments in the country. COMCE is an organization of companies that supports Mexican businesses enter foreign markets.
