(BUSAN=Newsis News) The district of Haeundae in Busan City will foster the Centum Industrial Complex as specialized design zone.

The district announed Mar. 1 that in consideration of the fact that some 100 design companies are concentrated in the Centum area, it has decided to designate the area as a Specialized Design Zone, and support it through various projects.

The district has been selected to recieve support through the city's Initiative to Support Specialized Zones in the Business and Service Industries, and has secured a budget worth KRW 510 million to be used for the next three years.

This is the first year for Busan to implement the Initiative to Support Specialized Zones in the Business and Service Industries, which aims to further specialize business and service industries that are concentrated in a particular area.

Upon making a comprehensive assessment of all applications, based on the specific industry's geographic concentration, appropriateness of the project plan, and expected project effects, the city ended up choosing Haeundae-gu's Project to Foster Centum Industrial Complex as a Specialized Design Zone.
