According to Yonhap News,
(BUSAN=Yonhap News) Lancaster University, world-famous for its prestigious MBA programs, is opening a new overseas campus in Sep. 2019 within the Myongji University Global Campus in the southern Korean city of Busan.
Busan City is set to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the opening with the British university at 1 p.m. on Mar. 6 at the city hall's international conference room.
Founded in 1961, Lancaster University, located in the northwestern county of Lancashire, England, is a national university with specialized programs in business administration, finance, and logistics.
With joint degree programs already launched in China and Malaysia, the university is currently trying to expand its contributing on the global scene of higher education.
The city of Busan hopes the new campus will help the New Myongji International City secure its place in the world as a global business city.
