According to Yonhap News,
(BUSAN=Yonhap News) The city of Busan and Busan Economic Promotion Agency (BEPA) announced April 3 they have launched a new initiative to encourage local businesses to take a lead in developing overseas markets by providing support for marketing activities.
Under the new initiative, small and medium businesses based in the city that have already secured connections in a foreign market will help other local companies find new buyers and carry out marketing activities, such as on-site consulting sessions.
BEPA has divided the participating small and medium businesses into two groups of four, and has agreed to provide part of their joint marketing expenses.
BEPA expects the joint marketing efforts will prove effective in a short amount of time, and raise the possibility of the businesses forming a consortium to receive orders for large-scale projects in foreign countries.
Small and medium companies that wish to participate in this initiative can apply until April 21 through the city's comprehensive online system for foreign marketing (http://trade.busan.go.kr).
