According to Yonhap News,

(BUSAN=Yonhap News) Busan announced on April 14 that it has invited 16 representatives from the Busan Foundation for International Cooperation (BFIC), the Busan Metropolitan City Agricultural Technology Center, and 4 Asian countries' agricultural sectors to participate in an international agro training seminar that will be held from April 16 to 23.

Busan's sister cities of Cebu, Philipines, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and Vientiane, Laos, will be sending government officials and university professors who specialize in agriculture and international exchange.

During their stay, participants are scheduled to learn about successful examples of Korea and Busan's agricultural policies and extension programs, and experience the city's agricultural sector first hand.

After taking a tour of the city's agro-related institutions, such as the Eomgung Agricultural Wholesale Market, the group plans to visit Pusan National University's College of Natural Resources and Life Sciences.

The group will also have an opportunity to participate in the Urban Agriculture Exhibition in Busan, which will begin on April 20, and the International Agro-Healing Symposium, as well as learn how to take care of rice seedlings at a farm in the Ganseo District.
