Eight Busan Companies to Participate in Malaysian Oil and Gas Exhibition

(BUSAN=Yonhap News) The city of Busan announced July 7 that it is supporting eight local offshore plant equipment companies to particiapte in the 'Oil & Gas Asia 2017' exhibition set to be held from July 11 to 13 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia.

Now in its 16th year, the annual event is Asia's biggest offshore plant exhibition, where some 2,000 companies from about 60 countries get a chance to exhibit their latest products and technology to nearly 23,000 visitors.

Through an open recruitment carried out in May, the city selected 8 offshore plant equipment and material companies (KJF, Elyon, Daheung, WFN, Bomyung Metal, Powerlok, Samik Explosion Proof Electric, Korval) to participate in the event.

The city will provide financial support to the selected companies to rent and prepare booths.

Interest in Korea's Offshore plant parts is growing in Malaysia, where 650,000 barrels of oil are produced every day, and the local offshore plant industry is undergoing rapid development.
