(BUSAN=Yonhap News) An educational program for cultivating trade experts in the footwear industry is set to open in the city of Busan.
The city announced July 31 that it will be launching the first Busan-Gyeongnam Footwear Trade Expert Program to raise overseas marketing experts in in the city's key industry of footwear manufacturing.
The program will be co-organized by the Busan Institute for Talent & Lielong Education (BIT) and the Busan branch of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA).
Applicants must be a graduate (or in their final semester) at a college in Busan or South Gyeongsang Province.
Starting September 15, the 1,160-hour program is scheduled to take place across five months, followed by 6 months of professional training at a local company.
