On May 7, the city of Busan and Bexco announced it will host the ENTECH Vietnam 2018 at the Saigon Exhibition Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from May 9 to 10. The exhibition will provide opportunities for Korean companies in the environmental and energy industry to enter the Vietnamese market.
ENTECH was first held in 2009, and was called "Hanoi Environment & Energy Tech." This year marks the 10th year of the exhibition and 87 Korean companies will participate.
The companies plan to make strategic entries into Southeast Asia, which has high growth potential in the environment and energy industries in various fields such as power generation, renewable energy, energy conservation, water treatment, waste treatment, soil and ground water.
For the first time, high-ranking officials from Vietnam's Ministry of Resources and Environment will take part and brief participants on Vietnam's environmental investment policies as well as the country's major policy directions for the near future.
The two countries will also explore long-term technological exchange and cooperation for the development of the industry. The Center for Environmental Consultancy and Technology (CECT), an environmental technology consulting organization under the Busan Environmental Corporation and the Vietnamese government, will sign an MOU.
In addition, there will be opportunities to share technological exchange and energy conservation cases between the two countries through seminars hosted by the Korea East-West Power Plant, Metropolitan Landfill Management Corporation, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Corporation and the Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute.
From May 9 to 10, the exhibition will also hold consultation sessions for companies wanting to export their products to Vietnam. About 300 Vietnamese buyers will attend the sessions.
BEXCO will hold the "2018 International Environment & Energy Industry Exhibition" (ENTECH 2018) on September 5 to 7, at BEXCO in Busan, conjunction to this event.
