(BUSAN=Yonhap News) The 2018 Blockchain Expo (BCEK 2018) was held on June 26 at the Busan Port International Exhibition and Convention Center. The event brought together all the latest technology surrounding blockchain, the information communication technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The event was held until the 27th, and featured various information Technology (IT) such as blockchain, IoT, AI, Fin Tech, security and certification.

This event was co-hosted by the blockchain expo committee and the Korea Maritime & Ocean University's Leaders in Industry-university Cooperation (LINC).

Other than the main events, the expo will also feature a blockchain conference, an experimental smart city made with coins and a job fair for startups.

Busan Technopark Director Choi Seung-wook will give a presentation on "Blockchain technology, its transfer and transaction." Bestian Patent & Law Office Representative Patent Attorney Byeonghong Jeong will give a talk on "Domestic trends in blockchain technology and patents."
